Field notes

What makes it distinctive

Chapel of the Flowers has been marrying couples on Las Vegas Boulevard since 1960, and the property has grown into a campus rather than a single room. The Victorian Chapel is the original; La Capella was recently remodeled with a ceiling of white florals; the Glass Gardens is a climate-controlled garden chapel for 101 guests; the Magnolia Chapel and outdoor Gazebo handle small groups. The same operator also runs off-site ceremonies at the High Roller, Valley of Fire and by helicopter, and sells a Viva Elvis package in which Elvis both sings and officiates.

Who it suits

Pick this one when your guest list is still moving. Because the chapel is chosen separately from the package, a couple can book the $299 Basic ceremony and then decide between a 20-seat room and an 80-seat one once the RSVPs land. It also suits people who want a photo-forward chapel with a traditional look rather than a novelty theme. If you are set on bringing your own photographer, budget the $500 outside-photography fee before you fall in love with the pictures.

Starting price and what it buys

The Basic package is published at $299 as the couple-only entry point, with $5 added per guest. The Traditional package is $495 and the list page notes an additional weekend fee may apply to it; the amount of that fee is not published. Viva Elvis is $1,249 and includes the minister fee, a 20-minute posed photo session and a $75 photo-gallery credit. Each chapel also carries its own deposit, from $100 for the Victorian Chapel to $400 for La Capella and the Glass Gardens. Contact the venue for current details on anything not listed here.

Fees and exclusions to price in

  • Minister's fee: $70, in addition to the package
  • Basic package: $5 per guest on top of the $299
  • Additional weekend fee may apply to Traditional and several other packages; amount not published
  • Venue deposits by chapel: Victorian $100, Magnolia $250, Gazebo $300, La Capella $400, Glass Gardens $400
  • Suggested gratuities published in the FAQ: photographer $30 to $90, limo driver $50, day-of staff $35

Photography and outside photographers

The FAQ states that outside photography is permitted at an additional pre-paid cost of $500. The chapel runs what it calls an unplugged ceremony: if the couple permits, guests may take photos, record or livestream from their seats on a phone, but may not walk around during the ceremony. Included image counts vary by package and are not published as a simple number for every tier, so ask for the exact count of digital files before you compare this chapel with another.

Accessibility, weather and permits

  • Gazebo bookings automatically get the Victorian Chapel reserved as a weather backup
  • The Glass Gardens is climate-controlled, which matters for a summer date
  • Live internet broadcasting is not available for outdoor ceremonies; they are taped and uploaded afterward
  • Wheelchair access is not published. Contact the venue for current details.
  • Limo pickup is limited to hotels on the Strip or Downtown
