Field notes

What makes it distinctive

The Neon Museum is a non-profit that preserves historic Las Vegas signage, and it hosts ceremonies in its North Gallery, an outdoor space of vintage, non-operational signs. The daytime Sweetheart Wedding runs September through May, with a golden-hour option an hour before sunset and sunrise ceremonies in summer; the Stardust Wedding is a 60-minute private ceremony at night with the signs brought back to life by projection mapping. The museum supplies the setting, the benches, speakers for your playlist and a coordinator, and nothing else: officiant, photographer, flowers and even admission to the museum are yours to arrange. Wedding revenue goes to preserving the collection.

Who it suits

This is the venue for couples who want the most Las Vegas backdrop in the city and are comfortable assembling their own team. Bringing your own officiant and photographer costs nothing here, which is rare, and the museum is fully accessible on fine gravel. The trade-offs are calendar and climate: no daytime weddings June through August, a hard cancellation at 105 degrees or in high wind, and no indoor backup. Price the whole day, not the $2,500: chairs beyond the benches are an outside rental with set-up fees, and a reception means the $10,000 catered-event rental with an approved caterer. One earlier worry has cleared up: the museum's page now says bench seating for up to 50 in both places it mentions it.

Starting price and what it buys

The Sweetheart Wedding is published at $2,500 and the nighttime Stardust Wedding at $3,500 for a private 60-minute ceremony with up to 50 guests. Add-ons: golden-hour timing $500, ten additional guests $200 up to a maximum of 90, set-up and breakdown time $500 for 30 minutes on each side, and marquee letters $250. A ceremony with reception uses the catered-event rental: $10,000 for up to four hours plus two hours of set-up and one of breakdown, a $1,500 refundable security deposit, $2,500 per additional hour up to five, and $400 for extra security at events with alcohol. Every figure matches our August 27, 2026 check; the marquee-letters add-on is new.

Fees and exclusions to price in

  • Officiant not included; no fee to bring your own licensed officiant
  • Photographer not included; no fee to bring your own
  • Flowers not included; museum admission is not included, though group-rate tickets can be arranged
  • Chairs beyond the benches come from an outside rental company, with set-up and take-down fees
  • Catered events: $10,000 rental, $1,500 deposit, $2,500 per extra hour, $400 alcohol security, and an approved caterer from the museum's exclusive list; the museum sets no food minimum but caterers may
  • Only bubbles or fresh petals may be tossed; no confetti, rice, faux petals, balloons or open flames
  • Sales tax and service charge on wedding fees are not published

Photography and outside photographers

The museum provides no photographer and welcomes yours at no charge, and it keeps a list of recommended local photographers. Two policies sit alongside that: ordinary admission allows phone snapshots only, with no tripods or portrait shoots, and the museum treats its signs as copyrighted works whose images may not be used commercially, editorially or as fine art without written consent, so your photos are for you. Private portrait sessions outside a wedding booking start at $400 for personal use.

Accessibility, weather and permits

  • Accessible in accordance with ADA requirements; the grounds are fine gravel that powered and unpowered wheelchairs can navigate
  • No daytime Sweetheart weddings June through August; May and September days often top 100 degrees, and a ceremony is cancelled if the temperature exceeds 105
  • Cancellation triggers also include sustained wind over 24 mph or gusts over 39 mph, lightning within five miles and air-quality warnings; rain rarely cancels
  • Outdoor venue with no indoor backup published
  • Service animals only; the North Gallery has speakers for a phone playlist
